アドミッションポリシー

国際学部

「宗教性」「国際性」「貢献性」を意識して世界各地の言語や文化を学ぶことにより、視野を広げて、自分を向上させ、積極的に行動することを目指す人を広く受け入れます。
We widely accept those who are conscious of a "religious awareness," an "international awareness" and "the spirit of selfless service" when they study the language and culture of places around the world, and as a result of that, can expand their horizons, improve themselves, and act proactively.

外国語学科

各専攻語地域に関心をもち、当該地域の語学修得とともに、グローバルな視野で異文化理解を実践・体現できる人、高等学校までの教育の基礎学力を有し、さらに、論理的思考力・表現力・コミュニケーション力を向上させる意欲がある人を広く受け入れます。
We widely accept those who have acquired the basic academic skills to be fulfilled by the end of high school, have an interest in a specific language area, desires to acquire the language of that area, as well as can practice and embody the understanding of different cultures with a global perspective, and further, have the desire to improve their logical thinking, expressive power, and communication skills.

英米語専攻

教育目標を達成するために、英米語専攻は次のような人を求めています。

①本学の教育理念である「国際性」に関心がある人(国際性)
②英語圏のことば、文化、コミュニケーション、歴史、習慣などに関心がある人(英語圏の見識)
③語学、文学、歴史、社会、教育などの領域に関心がある人
(英語で学問探求)
④英語でのコミュニケーションに関心がある人(英語コミュニケーション力)
⑤英語を用いて活躍したい人(仕事で通用する英語力)
⑥英語を用いて日本と海外の橋渡しをしたい人(国内外での貢献性)
⑦社会活動・課外活動などの分野で積極的に取り組んだ経験を有し、英語に関心がある人(意欲)

試験は、総合型選抜、特別選抜、学校推薦型選抜、一般選抜、編入学選抜の各入試方式によるものとします。
In order to fulfill the educational goals of the English Language Major, we seek for students with the following qualities:

1.(International awareness) Those who have an interest in “International awareness,” which is Tenri University’s educational policy.
2.(Insight of English-speaking regions) Those who have an interest in the language, culture, communication, history, customs, etc. of English-speaking regions.
3.(Pursuing studies in English) Those who have an interest in the field of language, literature, history, society, education, etc.
4.(English communication skills) Those who have an interest in communicating in English.
5.(English proficiency for work) Those who wish to use English as their profession.
6.(Spirit of selfless service at home and abroad) Those who would like to work as a bridge between Japan and overseas countries using English.
7.(Motivation) Those who have had experience in actively engaging in social activities and extra-curricular activities, and are interested in the English language.

Entrance examination methods will take various forms, such as comprehensive selection, special selection, school recommended selection, general selection, and transfer selection.

中国語専攻

教育目標を達成するために、中国語専攻は次のような人を求めています。

①本学の教育理念である「国際性」に関心がある人(国際性)
②中国語でのコミュニケーションに関心がある人(知識・技能)
③華僑社会の多様な文化に関心がある人(知識・技能)
④自ら課題を見つけ、解決のために行動できる人(知識・技能)
⑤多文化共生に関心がある人(態度)
⑥「他者への献身」の精神をもって活動できる人(行動)
⑦社会活動・課外活動などの分野で積極的に取り組んだ経験を有し、中国語に関心がある人(意欲)

試験は、総合型選抜、特別選抜、学校推薦型選抜、一般選抜、編入学選抜の各入試方式によるものとします。
In order to fulfill the educational goals of the Chinese Language Major, we seek for students with the following qualities:

1.(International awareness) Those who have an interest in “International awareness,” which is Tenri University’s educational policy.
2.(Knowledge, skills) Those who are interested in communicating in Chinese.
3.(Knowledge, skills) Those who are interested in the diverse culture of overseas Chinese communities.
4.(Knowledge, skills) Those who can find problems on their own, and take action in order to solve them.
5.(Attitude) Those who are interested in multicultural coexistence.
6.(Action) Those who can take action based on the “spirit of selfless service.”
7.(Motivation) Those who have had experience in actively engaging in social activities and extra-curricular activities, and are interested in the Chinese language.

Entrance examination methods will take various forms, such as comprehensive selection, special selection, school recommended selection, general selection, and transfer selection.

韓国・朝鮮語専攻

教育目標を達成するために、韓国・朝鮮語専攻は次のような人を求めています。

①本学の教育理念である「国際性」に関心がある人(国際性)
②韓国・朝鮮のことば、文化、文学、歴史、社会、風俗などに関心がある人(韓国・朝鮮地域に対する知識)
③言語学、文学、歴史、社会文化、言語教育について関心がある人(学問探求)
④韓国・朝鮮語でのコミュニケーションに関心がある人(コミュニケーション力)
⑤韓国・朝鮮語を用いて活躍したい人(仕事で通用する言語運用能力)
⑥韓国・朝鮮語を用いて日本と海外の橋渡しをしたい人(国内外での貢献性)
⑦社会活動・課外活動などの分野で積極的に取り組んだ経験を有し、韓国・朝鮮語に関心がある人(意欲)

試験は、総合型選抜、特別選抜、学校推薦型選抜、一般選抜、編入学選抜の各入試方式によるものとします。
In order to fulfill the educational goals of the Korean Language Major, we seek for students with the following qualities:

1.(International awareness) Those who have an interest in “International awareness,” which is Tenri University’s educational policy.
2.(Knowledge of Korea) Those who are interested in the Korean language, culture, literature, history, community, customs, etc.
3.(Pursuing studies) Those who have an interest in the field of language, literature, history, social culture, and language education.
4.(Communication skills) Those who have an interest in communicating in Korean.
5.(Language proficiency for work) Those who would like to work actively using the Korean language.
6.(Contribution in and out of Japan) Those who would like to be a bridge between Japan and overseas countries through the use of the Korean language.
7.(Motivation) Those who have had experience in actively engaging in social activities and extra-curricular activities, and are interested in the Korean language.

スペイン語・ブラジルポルトガル語専攻

教育目標を達成するために、スペイン語・ブラジルポルトガル語専攻は次のような人を求めています。

②スペイン語圏およびポルトガル語圏のことば、文化、コミュニケーション、歴史、習慣などに関心がある人
(スペイン語圏・ポルトガル語圏の見識)
③スペイン語およびブラジルポルトガル語の運用能力を用い、語学、文学、歴史、社会、教育などに関心がある人
(外国語で学問探求)
④スペイン語およびブラジルポルトガル語のコミュニケーションに関心がある人
(スペイン語・ブラジルポルトガル語コミュニケーション力)
⑤スペイン語およびブラジルポルトガル語を用いて活躍したい人(仕事で通用する外国語力)

In order to fulfill the educational goals of the Spanish/Brazilian Portuguese Language Major, we seek for students with the following qualities:

1.(International awareness) Those who have an interest in “International awareness,” which is Tenri University’s educational policy.
2.(Insight of regions where Spanish/Portuguese is spoken) Those who have an interest in the language, culture, communication, history, customs, etc. of Spanish-speaking or Portuguese-speaking regions.
3.(Pursuing studies in a foreign language) Those who wish to acquire language proficiency in Spanish/Brazilian-Portuguese, and have an interest in the field of language, literature, history, society, education, etc.
4.(Communication skills in Spanish/Brazilian-Portuguese) Those who have an interest in communicating in Spanish/Brazilian-Portuguese.
5.(Foreign language proficiency for work) Those who wish to work actively by using Spanish and/or Portuguese.
6.(Contribution in and out of Japan) Those who would like to utilize Spanish and/or Brazilian-Portuguese to become a bridge between Japan and overseas countries.
7.(Motivation) Those who have had experience in actively engaging in social activities and extra-curricular activities, and are interested in the Spanish and/or Brazilian-Portuguese language.

Entrance examination methods will take various forms, such as comprehensive selection, special selection, school recommended selection, general selection, and transfer selection.

地域文化学科

教育目標を達成するために、地域文化学科は次のような人を求めています。

①高等学校などで学習する国語や英語の基礎的コミュニケーション能力のある人(技術)
②地歴、公民、数学、理科などについて総合的な基礎学力を備えている人(知識)
③人や文化に関心があり、情報を集めて自分なりの考えをまとめることができる人(思考)
④多様な文化に関心をもち、積極的に異文化に触れようという姿勢をもつ人(意欲)
⑤他者の多様性に関心をもち、理解し尊重しようとする姿勢をもつ人(態度)
⑥社会活動・課外活動などの分野で積極的に取り組んだ経験を有し、異文化コミュニケーション能力と学際的な知識を身につけ、それらの分野で活躍したい人(行動)

試験は、総合型選抜、特別選抜、学校推薦型選抜、一般選抜、編入学選抜の各入試方式によるものとします。
In order to fulfill the educational goals of the Department of Area Studies, Tenri University seeks for students with the following qualities:

1.(Skills) Those who have acquired the basic communication skills in Japanese and English during high school.
2.(Knowledge) Those who have comprehensive basic academic skills in geography and history, civics, mathematics, science, etc.
3.(Thought) Those who are interested in people and culture, and can gather information and organize their thoughts.
4.(Motivation) Those who are interested in various cultures, and have the desire to become actively involved with different cultures.
5.(Attitude) Those who are interested in the diversity of others, and are willing to understand and respect them.
6.(Action) Those who have had experience in actively engaging in social activities and extra-curricular activities, and are interested in acquiring cross-cultural communication skills and interdisciplinary insight to play an active part in those fields.

Entrance examination methods will take various forms, such as comprehensive selection, special selection, school recommended selection, general selection, and transfer selection.

日本研究コース

地域文化学科のアドミッションポリシーに加え、外国人留学生を対象とする日本研究コースでは以下を追加。

①高等学校で学習する国語や外国語、また日本語学校で学習する日本語を中心にして論理的思考力やコミュニケーション能力を養い、地理や歴史についても総合的な基礎学力を備えている人(技術・知識・思考)
②日本語や日本文化・社会、さらに地域の歴史や活性化に深い関心がある人(意欲)
③高度な日本語能力を身につけ、日本語を使う仕事に従事したい人(態度・行動)

試験は、総合型選抜、特別選抜、編入学選抜の各入試方式によるものとします。
Added to the Admission Policy of the Department of Area Studies, the Japanese Studies Course—which is exclusively for international students—has the following policies:

1.(Skills, Knowledge, Thought) International students who have graduated a high school in Japan are expected to have acquired a level of Japanese used in high school, as well as foreign language(s). Other international students who have studied at a Japanese language school are expected to have taken mainly Japanese classes. Added to that, the international students are expected to have acquired logical thinking and communication skills, as well as have overall basic knowledge in Japanese geography and history.
2.(Motivation) Those who have a deep interest in the Japanese language, Japanese culture and society, and further about the {regional / local} history and revitalization.
3.(Attitude, Action) Those who acquire a high command of Japanese, and wish to utilize it for work.

Entrance examination methods will take various forms, such as comprehensive selection, special selection, and transfer selection.
